September is Hunger Action Month!
September is Hunger Action Month (HAM),
a nationwide campaign to mobilize the public
to take action on the issue of hunger. Whether
it’s by advocating and raising awareness,
making donations or volunteering, you can
find an opportunity to make a difference.
Together, we can solve hunger. Visit
ntfb.org/HAM to learn how to get involved.
HARVEST
September 15, 2016
You’re helping
feed the next
generation!
Join us Thursday, September 15, 2016 for
our third annual HARVEST at The Shed
at the center of the revitalized Dallas
Farmers Market. This will be an evening of
entertainment, unique auction packages,
specialty cocktails and a moveable, open-air feast from Dallas’ top
chefs and food purveyors. The funds raised will provide food for the
North Texas Food Bank’s vital senior and child programs. Visit our
ntfb.org/HARVEST for more information.
North Texas Giving Day
September 22, 2016
Your gifts keep
students growing
strong!
North Texas Giving Day, launched in 2009
by the Communities Foundation of Texas, is
the nation's largest community-wide online
giving event. This year's Giving Day will
take place on September 22, 2016. Get up and
give to fight hunger for children, seniors and
families in our community. Help us reach our goal of raising enough
funds to provide 1.5 MILLION meals for North Texans in need! Visit
northtexasgivingday.org to participate.
It’s a Fair Deal
Join us for “It’s a Fair Deal!” The annual canned food drive
promotion sponsored by Kroger takes place each Wednesday during
the State Fair of Texas. Visitors are offered $4 admission with a
donation of four cans or other nonperishable food items at the gate.
In 2015, “It’s a Fair Deal!” provided nearly 280,000 pounds of food to
the North Texas Food Bank.
