You help families thrive all summer long!
Summer is the most challenging time for Lucia *. She and her mom have five children between their households, and affording extra meals when school is out stretches their budgets thin.
“ We need food the most during summer break,” Lucia shares.“ Fruits, vegetables and milk are too expensive at the store.”
Thankfully, her children’ s school counselor told Lucia about a School Pantry distribution held on campus each month in partnership with North Texas Food Bank. Now, she can get monthly essentials to keep her pantry stocked.
Thanks to your generosity, Lucia can make sure her children have the nourishment they need to thrive. And with their food staples covered, she can pay the rest of the family’ s bills too— like electricity to keep the house cool during the hot summer months.
“ Some people may be shy to ask for what they need, but this food really helps out a lot,” Lucia says.
