This signature event hosted at the Dallas Cowboys’ World Headquarters, Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, features live entertainment and gourmet tastings from top area restaurants— all in support of ensuring every child in North Texas has access to nutritious food. With your help, Richard is getting back on his feet.
After years of instability, Richard is no longer facing homelessness, thanks to the kindness of his community— including a North Texas Food Bank partner pantry.
Richard works in construction through a temporary employment service, and with the support of public housing and steady access to groceries, he can make sure there’ s enough room in his budget for other necessities like utilities and transportation.“ Everything is going up,” he says.
He regularly rides his bike or walks to the partner pantry, where he receives a box of fresh foods and shelf-stable items. Before leaving, Richard looks through the box and returns anything he can’ t carry with him so that another neighbor can use it.
“ This place has done so much for me over the years,” he shares.“ If there’ s any way I can help them, I will.”
