The Moody Foundation is
Building Hope in North Texas!
The North Texas Food Bank
has been fortunate to call The
Moody Foundation a partner
in hunger relief since 2012. The
Foundation has been committed
to supporting the Food 4 Kids
program, transforming the
lives of school-aged children in
our community. Recently, The
Moody Foundation took an even
stronger stand against hunger by
making a $5 million gift to the
Food Bank’s Stop Hunger Build
Hope capital campaign!
The Moody Foundation works
to make a difference in the lives
of the people of Texas through
funding meaningful, long-term
projects. Over the years, the
foundation has made more than
$1.2 billion in grants to educate,
heal, nurture and inspire
generations of Texans.
This transformational gift to
the North Texas Food Bank,
the largest foundation gift
ever received by the Food Bank,
is instrumental in expanding
our hunger-relief work. It
will support the Food Bank’s
10-year plan to provide 92
million nutritious meals by
2025 through the renovation
of our headquarters at the
Dallas Farmers Market, which
will be named for The Moody
Foundation and family, as
well as the construction of
a new distribution center
and establishment of local
food pantries. Frances Moody-Dahlberg,
chairperson and executive
director of the Moody
Foundation, says the trustees
were excited about the innovative
strategies in the Food Bank’s
10-year plan.
The Moody Foundation’s
commitment to the North Texas
Food Bank directly aligns with
their mission to build a bigger,
better future for Texas. We are truly humbled by this
generous investment in the
health and well-being of our
North Texas neighbors. Thank
you isn’t enough.
“The Moody Foundation is
committed to supporting causes
that propel Texas forward,” says
Ms. Moody-Dahlberg. “We’re
excited to be a part of the Stop
Hunger Build Hope capital
campaign because the Food Bank
plays such a critical role in food
security for vulnerable people in
the region, especially children.”
Jamie Williams, Director of Human Resources and Regional
Grants, North, of the Moody Foundation, attends the
Northern Distribution Center groundbreaking event.
