I know the holidays and new year have long since come and gone, but I want to express one more time how grateful I am for your generosity at the end of 2017. Thanks to your support, the Food Bank has reached a historic milestone — raising $55 million for our Stop Hunger Build Hope campaign. These critical funds will not only help the Food Bank build the Perot Family Campus — our new volunteer and distribution center that will open later this year — they will also help fund important infrastructure updates at our Partner Agencies. This undertaking was the largest capital campaign for a social service organization, and represents a new era for hunger relief in our region — bringing the NTFB one step closer to achieving our vision of creating a hunger free, healthy North Texas, by proving access to 92 million meals by 2025. Please know that the impact you’ve made – and continue to make – means so much to your neighbors in need. Hunger affects people of all ages, and at this time of year, we’re especially concerned about our community’s senior citizens — many of whom are living on limited incomes.
