Giving Tuesday
Tuesday, December 3
Join us on the Tuesday following
Thanksgiving for Giving Tuesday, a
global day of giving. It started as a
day for anyone, anywhere to give,
and it’s grown into the biggest giving
movement in the world. Your gift is
doubled! An anonymous sponsor will
be matching gifts for this day only, up
to $100,000. Together, we can provide
healthy meals to hungry North Texans.
To join the movement, visit
ntfb.org/givingtuesday.
Nine years ago, David started volunteering with CitySquare, one of
the North Texas Food Bank’s Partner Agencies, during a very difficult
time in his life. He found it challenging to secure a steady job, but he
longed to make a positive contribution to society.
“I’m just here to lend a hand and see the smile on people’s faces,”
David says.
He sees many of the same faces week after week at the food pantry,
and several of them are volunteers like him who have received assistance
and want to give back. It’s a long walk from his home, but David doesn’t
mind because he wants to make a difference.
When he couldn’t make ends meet for his family, he could always
count on the food pantry. “I’ll forget about food and just pay my rent
because I’d rather have a roof over my head. But then I come to the food
pantry and I get blessed,” David says.
Nobody should have to choose between a roof over their head or
food to eat. And with help from our Partner Agencies and friends like
you, our neighbors in North Texas won’t have to.
Your Gifts to the North Texas Food Bank
This Holiday Season Will Triple
Help feed three times as
many hungry North Texans
Hungry children, seniors and families continue to
turn to the North Texas Food Bank for healthy meals,
and because of you we can be there to help them.
Thanks to a matching opportunity from our friends at
Sammons Enterprises and the Beaumont Foundation of
America, anything you give before December 31 will
TRIPLE! That’s right, your gifts will TRIPLE, up to
$200,000, to feed three times as many hungry people in
North Texas. All it takes is $1 to provide nine holiday
meals, thanks to this matching opportunity. Together,
we can bring joy and hope for so many children,
seniors and families!
Your gift gives three times as many holiday
meals to hungry children in North Texas.
GIVE THREE TIMES AS MANY MEALS
THIS HOLIDAY SEASON
Thanks to a generous matching opportunity
Through CitySquare, David has received not only food, but also
educational opportunities and the chance to turn his life around. He
has graduated from their culinary arts program and is currently taking
business classes. The help he’s received has been invaluable, and the food
for his family has been lifesaving.
And when they call for volunteers, David is right there to help and
give back — especially during the holiday season.
This time of year is our busiest at the North Texas Food Bank. To
learn more about how you can volunteer, go to ntfb.org/volunteer.
