Calling young artists
Young artists are being given the chance to see their artwork appear on a waste or recycling truck – and also win a prize for their school into the bargain . Ealing Council ’ s waste and recycling contractor , Greener Ealing Ltd , is launching the competition to school pupils in the borough . Entrants must draw , colour or paint a design that can remind everyone of their environmental responsibilities . This might include recycling household items correctly , putting rubbish in a bin or ways to help climate change . You must be 18 or younger and attend an Ealing school to take part . Win special dance lesson
We have teamed-up with Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse to offer 10 lucky local children the chacha-chance to show off their artistic moves and win a free dance class with her . All your child needs to do to have a chance of winning the dance lesson is to get creative . Download a sketch of Oti and her husband Marius ( also a professional dancer and teacher ) and they can use it to design Strictly-style costumes for the quick-stepping couple . Then you send in your child ’ s masterpiece for Oti and Marius to judge and pick their favourites . The Oti Mabuse Dance Studio was opened in September in Park Avenue , in the Hanger Hill area of Ealing . Your say on private renting
Ealing Council is proposing to make private renting in the borough safer and better by introducing new property licensing schemes . Since 2017 , many privately rented homes in Ealing have needed a licence to be let . And , because licensing has helped produce safer homes for tenants and more support for landlords , the council is now consulting on plans to renew and expand its schemes .
