You may have read the news that another baby was born at Hanwell Zoo in the spring , and other newcomers are waiting to see you as well ? Well , why not have a go at our competition to win a free season ticket to the local gem ?
It ’ s our first baby loris , which is a huge milestone for the zoo ,” said the zoo ’ s manager Jim Gregory . “ The grey slender loris is part of a European endangered species breeding programme , which plays a key role in the conservation of endangered species . It feels great to know we were able to play a small part in that .”

Other recent additions to the zoo include tamarin monkeys , a margay , an armadillo and miniature donkeys – joining the dozens of other species from lemurs and meerkats to flamingos and leafcutter ants .
Social distancing requirements have meant that a maximum of 100 people were allowed in
the zoo at any one time , so it is worth checking whether these restrictions are still in place before visiting – because you will need to book in advance at hanwellzoo . co . uk / booking-form

Hanwell Zoo has really changed in the last 12 months . Several new additions have come into the collection including monkeys , an armadillo and an incredible pair of grey slender loris . The new arrivals have settled in alongside the flamingos , lemurs and meerkats that already call Hanwell Zoo home .
