BEFORE YOU GO Council meetings Ready to serve A new approach to housing management is aiming to give council tenants a single point of contact for all of their tenancy needs, close to home. Quinton Drawbridge reports. F ollowing the success of My Housing Hub in Northolt and the Copley Management Hub in Hanwell, Ealing Council has decided to replicate the same model across the whole borough. Every tenant will be assigned a locally based, named council officer who can help them access housing services. Amongst other issues, they will be able 30 around ealing    Summer 2019 to help with things like rent problems, requests for lodgers, pets or moving home, and tenancy successions. Six new local offices will serve their local neighbourhoods, making it quicker and easier for tenants to access housing services. The new hubs will remove the need to make several appointments with different teams at Perceval House. Four of the hubs are now open: n   Ealing – Perceval House n   Hanwell – Copley Management Hub n   Northolt – My Housing Hub Northolt n   Southall – Golf Links Two more will follow soon: n   Acton – Everyone Active Acton Centre (from July – services will be run from Perceval House until then) n   Greenford / Perivale – Poplars (from February 2020 – tenants can use My Housing Hub in Northolt in the meantime). Tenants can drop in at the hubs or make an appointment. Councillor Peter Mason is Ealing Council’s lead member for housing, planning and transformation. He said: “Our new housing hubs will make us better placed to hear any concerns that our tenants want to raise.
