Free childcare for
two-year-olds
Your two-year-old may be entitled to a
FREE childcare/early learning place for
15 hours a week, 38 weeks of the year.
If your yearly income is less than £16,190
either from work or from benefits – the
Family Information Service (FIS) can do a
quick check using your National Insurance
number to find out if you are eligible for a
free place.
Only nurseries and childminders with
‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ Ofsted reports
are able to participate in the scheme.
