APPRENTICESHIP NETWORK
WANT TO BE A NETWORK
APPRENTICE?
We need enthusiastic young people,
aged 16-24, to fill the positions set up
through the network. Not only will you
be paid and learn on the job, but you
can also gain a vocational qualification
while you complete the apprenticeship.
If you think you could be one of
the network apprentices, go online
now to complete an application form.

Successful applicants will then be
invited by council officers to attend
one of a number of workshops being
held for potential candidates at Ealing
Town Hall. The next application
deadline is 31 July, with the workshop
taking place on 12 August.
Those who attend will take part
in activities and gain some useful
information about apprenticeships
and the interview process. After the
workshop, all candidates will be given
feedback and those who are ready for
an apprenticeship could be referred to
a specialist skills provider. As vacancies
arise, candidates will be put forward for
interview, and those who are successful
will be taken on as apprentices for a
minimum of 12 months.
apprenticeships to anyone. It is better
than just studying full-time because you
are out in the real world doing it, and it
is better than just learning the theory.”
Peter said: “I have been working in
Ealing for more than 40 years and my
previous apprentices have all gone
on to do well. One has set up his own
business. If you put time and care into
it, it works really well.”
‘An inspiration’
Morna Mcauley owns the Clocktower
Café, in Uxbridge Road, Hanwell. She
took on two apprentices as part of the
100-in-100 campaign – Nathan, 21,
and Tanya, 18.
Morna said: “The whole team find the
apprentices to be an inspiration. Young
people unfairly tend to get a bad rap,
but Tanya and Nathan have a great work
ethic. They are hard-working, ambitious
people who needed a break.”
