BEFORE YOU GO:
Helping veterans
Over the past four years we have run a number of
stories on how the First World War touched our
borough and its residents; and now, we can tell you
how the end of the war was celebrated 100 years
ago (see pages 10-11) as the country moves
towards a national centenary commemoration of
the armistice of November 1918.

t seems hard to believe
it was a year ago that we
started our photographic
competition called Seasons of
Ealing. Since then, we have run
four iterations of it, covering
each season; and there were no plans to do
more than that. But the standard of pictures we
have received each time, and the enjoyment
of people taking part in entering and in voting
for the winner, has made it an easy decision to
carry on. Therefore, please see page seven to
find out where to go to find more details on
entering our autumn 2018 competition.
