Goal ball is one of the sports
that will be available
and even a fishing pond
are also part of the
exciting project.
The sports hub will also
act as a base for community
teams and groups doing vital
work in the local area. Metro
Blind Sport, for example, is a
charity that helps people with visual
impairment compete, enjoy and
engage in sports such as goal ball.

Sport said: “We are incredibly
excited. With the support of Ealing
Council and GLL, we will have a
positive contribution towards
the social, physical and
mental health of visually
impaired people within the
local community.”
Council leader Julian Bell
said: “The sports hub at
Gunnersbury Park is set to
offer local people of all ages
and backgrounds a chance to
participate in a really wide array
of activities.
“Our long-term vision will see
Gunnersbury Park as a place where
local people can enjoy sport, beautiful
green spaces and a rich local history
long into the future.”
Use Gym Free
for First Visit
A non-member entry to the gym is normally worth £7.75 –
but this voucher entitles the bearer to one free entry per
person. Once Gunnersbury sports hub is open, take this
voucher with you to redeem it.
The bearer is required to sign in and provide their details
to redeem the guest pass.

Guest passes are for over 16s, under 16s may attend
during junior gym times, with a parent/guardian.
Junior gym times are between 4.30-6.30pm
Monday Friday, and between 10am-1pm at weekends.
