It has been an exciting and productive year at Featherstone High. The school celebrated excellent results, the reaccreditation of their World Class Schools status, the opening of a fantastic new library space and pupils were even live on SKY News! Early in the academic year, Featherstone’s exceptional performance was honoured by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan through the Schools for Success Award. During the Spring Term Featherstone students joined SKY News to make history with the first live deep sea TV broadcast. Featherstone continues its work, as part of the Grand Union Multi-Academy Trust, with partner school Woodlands Academy, sharing expertise and resources. FHS The school also enjoyed another highly successful Science Week after Easter filled with various activities from robotics to forensics, mind blowing experiments and lectures from scientists including Lord Professor Robert Winston. FHS students have excelled in sports this year with the Year 9 boys becoming Ealing cricket champions and the Year 10 girls’ rounders and Year 7 girls’ netball teams also reaching the Borough finals. From the fantastic annual Art Exhibition, to the Wonderful World of Words Literacy Festival and Annual Dance Festival, the school continues to show that, whatever the criteria: academic, creative, social and sporting, this is an exceptional school.
