orchestras from the local area and The
London Broncos, who are keen supporters
of the school, acting as mentors and tutors
to pupils and helping run sporting events
throughout the year. Woodlands pupils are
making excellent academic progress and
have had access to specialist teachers
from our partner school Featherstone High.
The primary school works very closely
with the local community, supporting
charities such as The Felix Project and St.
Mungos. The school works in partnership
with local businesses, forging close links
to enhance their curriculum and learning
opportunities for all its pupils. Woodlands
are looking forward to welcoming parents

Recently rated “Good” by
Ofsted and set in large
grounds, Woodlands
Primary offers an all-
through experience from Nursery (30 hours
provision available) to Year 6 as well as
a successful breakfast club and after
school care.
The school values good academic
achievement, coupled with excellence in
music, creative arts and sports.
Woodlands have been proud to work
with the professional musicians Hattie
Whitehead and Laura Jayne Hunter,
Featherstone High School is
celebrating another successful
year and is again confirmed as
a World Class School.
It has been an exciting and productive
year at Featherstone High. The school
celebrated excellent results, the
reaccreditation of their World Class
Schools status, the opening of a fantastic
new library space and pupils were even
live on SKY News!
Early in the academic year,
Featherstone’s exceptional performance
was honoured by the Mayor of London,
Sadiq Khan through the Schools for
Success Award.
During the Spring Term Featherstone
students joined SKY News to make history
with the first live deep sea TV broadcast.
Featherstone continues its work, as
part of the Grand Union Multi-Academy
Trust, with partner school Woodlands
Academy, sharing expertise and resources.
FHS
The school also enjoyed another highly
successful Science Week after Easter
filled with various activities from robotics
to forensics, mind blowing experiments
and lectures from scientists including Lord
Professor Robert Winston.
FHS students have excelled in sports
this year with the Year 9 boys becoming
Ealing cricket champions and the Year 10
girls’ rounders and Year 7 girls’ netball
teams also reaching the Borough finals.
From the fantastic annual Art
Exhibition, to the Wonderful World of
Words Literacy Festival and Annual Dance
Festival, the school continues to show
that, whatever the criteria: academic,
creative, social and sporting, this is an
exceptional school.
