ADULT LEARNING
Liudvika in the offices of Délifrance
Rising to the
challenge
Local businesses and employers
are reaping the rewards of their
staff learning new skills by attending
vocational courses. Jack Butler reports.
I
n a partnership between Ealing
Council’s adult learning service and
local companies, employees are
given opportunities to learn skills
for their work environment but also for
everyday life.
The adult learning courses offer
everything from social media skills
to English language classes; and
from computer technology to sign
language; and so much more.
At Délifrance in Southall, an
international company that sells
pastries and savoury products across
the country, staff are able to take
advantage of courses focusing on
ICT and the English language. The
courses have been attended by 17
employees so far and it has resulted
in a number of success
stories. These include
