A cleft lip and palate is one of the most common birth
anomalies in the world, affecting one in seven hundred
children. A cleft is an opening that happens during
pregnancy, where the lip and/or palate tissue does not
form properly. The common misconception is that a
cleft lip and palate are only a superficial condition, but
that couldn’t be further from the truth.
A cleft can create complications in
feeding, hearing, speaking, and
social developments, among many
other consequences. Transforming
Faces is aware of this, and
provides programs like Speech
Therapy. Hearing assessments,
counseling to ensure the
transition is smooth.
ARMY can participate in
helping these children by
donating 1 CAD, or more,
using your credit card.
Paypal is also available on
the Canada Help page,
however, the minimum
donation there is 3 CAD.
Remember to mark your
donation as a gift in honor
of “BTS Jung Hoseok.”
ARMY can also participate
on the monthly-side project
for Hoseok’s birthday called
HOPEful Smiles.
