Sunshine, J-Hope, Hobi. These are
only a few of the nicknames used
to describe BTS’ main dancer and
rapper, J-Hope. J-Hope has a vibrant
and multi-faceted personality and
his style reflects that. A style that
is bold, eye-catching, and at times
unexpected. Many take note
of what he is wearing as he is a
trendsetter, one of the more
fashion-forward members of BTS
who takes great pride in dressing
well and showing fans new and
unexpected looks.
J-Hope began his entertainment
career as a street dancer and
much of his personal style still
reflects this part of his past.
He gravitates towards modern
streetwear brands that have a loose
baggy fit, allowing him to move
freely while still looking
effortlessly cool. In a recent V LIVE,
he mentioned that comfortable
and practical clothes are important,
especially during schedules when
he must travel on planes or in cars
for extended periods of time.
Some examples that showcase his
hip-hop dancer aesthetic are pieces
from brands such as Off-White,
Supreme, and Yeezy.
While J-Hope frequently wears
hypebeast fashion brands, he also
does not shy away from wearing ritzy
designer labels. His presentation has
as much duality as his personality.
There are countless examples of him
being outfitted in high-end fashion
houses from Gucci to Chanel, Yves
Saint Laurent to Versace. For award
shows J-Hope has frequently walked
down the red carpet decked out in
head-to-toe Gucci. Understanding
the lines of his body as only a
dancer can, he tends to opt for a
more slim-cut outline when wearing
these brands.
J-Hope’s clothing choices are
impossible to look away from but
it’s his choice of accessories that
truly define his style and make him
stand out. He has a large collection
of hats, handbags, and shoes
ranging from fast-fashion to luxury
designer brands.
