It is undeniable that MOTS: Persona has achieved and reached extents that are beyond our
expectations. It brought BTS to the frontline, and introduced them to the general public in a wid-
er range, however, what made MOTS:Persona stand out is not only the eye-catching performanc-
es and talent they showcased during this era, it is the concept and the message they are trying to
convey from it.
It is unusual to see artists discuss social issues, which we’ve always witnessed with BTS, but
it is even more unlikely to see artists approach psychology. They chose a very positive and strong
message that touches a more mature category and is overall friendly to all ages.
“It’s a very important topic because young people who find their personas inadequate, or feel
like they’re not fitting in, are very vulnerable to mobbing (bullying) or to suicidal acts - so I think
BTS addressing that is very timely and important for their audience.” said Dr. Murray Stein.
MOTS:Persona is also very empowering, the aesthetic of it breaks gender norms and stan-
dards and is a way to correct past mistakes as of what was said about them during Boy In Luv
era.
BTS proved once again that their success is not because they push themselves in the interna-
tional industry by being westernized, but more like they make the industry accept their culture
and performances and that was highlighted by the great collaborations they had. Music truly
transcends language.
It is also undeniable that ARMY’s dedication had been on peak lately, it’s nice to see new AR-
MYs willing to work, give and spend on the boys as much as the old ones, I’d also say that our
knowledge with charting systems has improved and the fandom is more educated than ever,
these factors contributed in achieving what was once a dream to us and I’m very thankful for ev-
ery ARMY that made this possible.
I would be lying if I said we saw all this success coming, our achievements exceeded our ex-
pectations and statistics. BTS growth is truly amazing and interesting to track.
All the milestones BTS had scored are wonderful and there’s no doubt in that, but you know
what’s more important? BTS happiness MOTS:Persona is an era when we could witness more
of their heartfelt laughs and genuine smiles through it all, you could clearly see how natural
and comfortable they have become and this is the biggest win MOTS:Persona has brought to the
ARMY.”
