Face Yourself was the third highest
charting Japanese album on
Billboard 200 chart at number
43. This album was also their first
album that was certified Platinum
by RIAJ on May 10, 2018 by selling
an accumulation of 324, 381 units
after charting for 13 successive
weeks on the Oricon chart.
Face Yourself debuted in the
number 1 position on Oricon’s Daily
CD Album chart, and remained
there for seven continuous days
which resulted in it being number
1 on the weekly Album chart. BTS
broke a record of about 6 years
made by female K-Pop group
KARA for the highest first week
sales by a Korean artist on the
Oricon chart, selling over 250,
000 units at that point. It was also
2018’s highest grossing album by
a male artist on the Oricon chart.
When June of this year came
around, Oricon publicized that Face
Yourself made their “Top Ten”, the
album ranking at number 4, and
also ranking at number six on their
“Top Ten” artist sales chart for the
first half of 2018. Achieving this,
BTS was the only Korean artist to
rank on both of the charts, while
also being the highest ranking
international artist.

It is no surprise to us to see
everything BTS can accomplish
with one album. We know how
much thought and dedication
they put into everything they do.
That is what draws us to support
them, the fact that they stay true to
themselves and what they want to
say to the world. That being said,
let’s go into the theme that Face
Yourself could be portraying.
