In February , BTS took part in the longrunning Unplugged series on MTV , where the group brought a more intimate touch to their performances . The boys performed

Telepathy in a game room style set , and the tender Blue & Grey in a set styled to look like a field of grass and flowers before switching to Life Goes On and Dynamite , both while accompanied by a live band . Alongside their songs from BE , BTS also covered Fix You by Coldplay – a band that BTS has previously expressed their admiration for . MTV ’ s Unplugged performances brought a nice shift in pace that highlighted the group ’ s vocal aspects in a stripped-down space .

Nearing the end of March , BTS appeared in SBS ’ The Stage of Legends Archive K , where the band reminisced about their early days . They also shared stories about their path to becoming one of the most prominent artists in the world and bringing Korean popular music to the center stage . The 2021 Special Talk Show Let ’ s BTS was another highlight of the month . BTS snagged their very own 100-minute talk show on KBS , which featured special performances , and touched on their latest Grammy nomination and performance , and their love for ARMY .

MTV ’ s Unplugged was followed by one of the biggest nights in the American music industry – the 63rd Grammy Awards , held in mid-March . While the group did not take home the Best Pop Dou / Group Performance award they were nominated for , BTS ’ energetic performance of Dynamite remained the true highlight of the night .

BTS took on America in May , starting off with the Billboard Music Awards , where the group performed their single , Butter for the first time live from Korea . Slick suits , three grandiose sets and a masterclass performance was the jewel of the awards , to say the least . BTS wrapped up the BBMAs with four wins in total , including Top Selling Song , Top Duo / Group , Top Social Artist , and Top Songs Sales Artist .
