ARMAzonan Spring 2017 | страница 3

We must learn how to communicate with IT, Corporate Counsel( Legal) and other stakeholders so that we can work with each other instead of against each other. Our roles in the RIM profession are constantly evolving and that means we will have to constantly evolve in order to remain viable and relevant within the workplace. If I could offer one ounce of wisdom it would be to never stop learning RIM and technologies because it’ s always changing and you must adapt and change with it.
Take advantage of the chapter meetings, the international conference if you can, and utilize the educational resources on the ARMA website; many of them are free now for members. Be sure to also check out the ARMA Arizona website frequently as well as their social media sites Facebook, and Twitter, for postings on educational opportunities in the area.
This year’ s Annual Spring Seminar theme is‘ Agents of Change’. We have a lot of good things in store so be on the lookout for upcoming meeting notices.
Furthermore, we will also be recruiting for board elections soon. If you know someone who would be a good fit for a board position, nominate them! If you would like to be considered for a position please see me or Liz Carrera and we will answer any questions you have.
Lastly, I wanted our members in the northern and southern regions to know I have not forgotten you. We understand that it is difficult for to make the commute to Phoenix for our chapter meetings. That’ s why I am coming to you!
I will be hosting an ARMA Arizona Road Show, Tucson in April and an ARMA Arizona Road Show, Flagstaff sometime in May. The events will be forthcoming and there is some information in this newsletter. I hope you can attend as it would be an honor to meet you. I think our chapter meetings are important and valuable to your membership, so if distance is an issue we will make it every effort to bridge that gap by coming to you.
In closing, I want to express my sincere thanks to our members, guests and member providers who make the effort to stay active in our chapter and for reaching out to me and other board members with questions. If you have any comments or suggestions or ideas you would like to see in the newsletter, or in the chapter meetings, please talk to me or any board member.
