For this answer to make any sense you need to understand that my current position is my only position as a records and information manager. I think a key accomplishment met in my current position came early on. Back in 2008 I spear headed a project of scanning 29 file cabinets full of very active records. Specifically, over 650,000 pages of paper records were scanned, indexed and stored electronically. After scanning was completed and the scanned records were uploaded to the computer system I created / implemented procedures to check the scanned records for indexing errors and to determine if all pages were scanned.
“ How lucky are you?” I don’ t believe in luck. I believe there is a reason and purpose for everything we do.“ What do you like to do when you’ re not at work?” I like to hang out with my family.
“ Who inspires you?” A lot of people inspires me. But for this article I would say ARMA members inspire me. By hearing your stories in managing records and information I’ m inspired to do my job better.
“ Tell us something interesting about you that You would like to share that others should know About you.” Thirty years ago I was an IRS agent auditing tax re turns. After working 2 ½ years for the IRS I stopped working fulltime to raise my young children. Sixteen years later, I started working \ fulltime again. Shortly thereafter, I began my career in Records and Information Management.

“ Where did you come from? Or, are you a native for everything we do. – Jeannie Taylor of Phoenix?” I was born and raised in Mesa, AZ, where I currently live. So, yes, I’ m a native.“ Where did you go to school?” I completed my Bachelor’ s Degree in Accounting at Arizona State University.
