The ICRM believes it is vital that a CRA remains current in the
dynamic field of Records and Information Management. This is
handled through Certification Maintenance Points (CMPs).
This Certification Maintenance process ensures that members:
Maintain professional competence;
Update existing knowledge and skills; and
Attain new or additional knowledge and skills.
Active CRAs must earn and submit 100 points for approved
educational activity during each five-year period following initial
certification.
Resources
The Institute has many resources in place to assist and support the
CRA candidate. Resources include an annotated Bibliography,
sample questions and guidance available online, and current
materials relevant to RIM competencies and educational sessions
offered through ARMA International.
The ICRM has a licensed Examination Preparation product that
provides comprehensive workshops which cover Parts 1 through 6,
including practice case studies. The Examination Preparation
product is delivered through ARMA Chapters and industry-specific
associations as well as being offered at annual Examination
Preparation Workshops in association with the ARMA Conference,
the MER Conference, NIRMA and other venues throughout the year.
