Teachers were excited to participate in the annual
Remynse back to school parade.
For the seventh year in a row, Blanton Elementary students are
benefiting from a partnership with nearby First Christian Church, as
the church awarded scholarships to 60 students to attend the Tarrant
County College College for Kids program this summer.
The Bailey Junior High football team greeted officers at the
Arlington Police Department and donated drinks to show
their appreciation for their service.
The first- and second-grade students at Bryant
Elementary in Mrs. Gaffney’s gifted and talented
classes learned about team building in the marshmallow
challenge and discussed what it really means to be a team.
Extended Year special education students at Hill Elementary
celebrated Independence Day with a lively parade. Students
dressed in red, white and blue, made signs, and waved flags
during the parade around the hallways of the school.
There was a big turnout at Hale Elementary for the Million
Father March. The initiative strives to get more fathers involved
in school. Fathers brought their children to school, had breakfast,
listened to speakers and toured the campus.
