Back to School Kickoff a Success
The second annual AISD Back to School Kickoff at AT&T Stadium was a huge success with 800-plus
volunteers on hand to help pass out more than 8,500 backpacks, supervise immunizations, vision and dental
screenings, haircuts, and overlook a resource fair that included more than 100 community groups. The
Back to School Kickoff brings the AISD, Churches of Arlington, Arlington NAACP, Gene and Jerry Jones
Family North Texas Youth Education Town, Junior League of Arlington, and Gene and Jerry Jones Family
Arlington Youth Foundation together for the good of the community and to create an even bigger and better
event than what was previously possible.
