Tomorrow’s Teachers
The path from student to career professional can seem
unclear. But aspiring teachers in the Arlington Independent School
District (AISD) are getting crystal-clear guidance and a fast-track
to success thanks to the Teacher Academy, an innovative partnership
between The University of Texas at Arlington and the AISD.
Through the Teacher Academy, high school juniors and seniors can
earn both high school course credit and university semester credit hours
through UTA’s College of Education. With these dual credit offerings,
students will not only graduate from college early, they’ll be preferred
candidates for teaching positions within the AISD once certified.
The Teacher Academy is just one of the many ways UTA and its
College of Education are helping prepare tomorrow’s educators for
teaching success.
