If you drive by the site of the future Career and Technical Center on Pioneer Parkway - where Hutcheson Junior High once stood you’ll notice construction is underway. It may not look like much yet, but they’re busy drilling piers and working on utilities.

Mr. Howard Smith, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was awarded his Arlington
High School diploma during the June 9 Board meeting. Smith left high
school early to join the Marine Corps and serve in Vietnam, and he was able
to petition for his high school diploma because of a provision provided by
Texas Education Code.

Fifth grader Blake Kennemer at Butler Elementary
was inducted into the Arlington ISD Wall of Fame for
having perfect STAAR scores in reading and math.

AISD students from Lamar, Martin and Sam Houston high schools visited the Arlington GM plant as part of the General Motors
STEM Day activities.
