All Arlington ISD fifth graders experienced a unique and exciting field trip this school year thanks to the Gene and Jerry Jones
Family Arlington Youth Foundation –a private tour of the art displayed at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The
educational experience continued into the classroom, as each class created a thematic piece of art after the field trip that aligned
with the tour and focused on visual literacy and their interpretation of what it means to be an artist. One piece of artwork was
selected from each campus and put on display at AT&T Stadium, culminating with a reception in May.
Members of the Texas Rangers organization went to Atherton Elementary to help beautify the campus and play baseball with
the students.
The staff at Fitzgerald Elementary got into the spirit of
Red Nose Day USA to raise awareness of the need for
money for children who live in poverty.
The third annual Super Saver Fun Run was held on May 7 at River
Legacy Park in Arlington. The run benefitted the energy management
program’s activity fund.
