Highlights 4-Are You In? The new Eagle Advantage Program through the University of North Texas and the Arlington Independent School District guarantees early admission to high-achieving high school students. 6-Career and Technology Select students from the six AISD high schools are receiving hands-on training through the Fire and Police Academy Programs. 16-National Signing Day More than 65 seniors from the six AISD high schools signed national letters of intent with college athletic programs. 33-Outstanding School Board The AISD Board of Trustees was recognized during a reception for being named the 2014 Texas Association of School Administrators Outstanding School Board of Texas. 38-Mission Arlington The after-school program developed by Mission Arlington assists children with homework, read and hosts fun activities in various locations throughout Arlington. 40-Scholar Bowl Pep Rally The Souper Bowl of Caring for North Texas put on a pep rally with students from Nichols Junior High to help spread the “Tackle Hunger” Campaign. Many gathered including a Dallas Cowboys legend, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and many more.
