GENERAL MANAGER JUSTIN’SJJ o urnal Greetings Residents! COVID-19 continues to dominate the news and in some way shape or form affects each of us on a daily basis. The Safety and health of our residents, guests and staff is our priority as we navigate the new normal. As we start to make plans for peak season here in Florida, COVID-19 is a topic of conversation more than we would like and it is inevitable that this season will look different than the norm. Nevertheless, we must move on and continue life as best we can. So, most of our Club Events, Tournaments, Parties, Brunches and more will be focused around smaller groups with suitable safety precautions and social distancing. Things to look for: We are eager to launch Golfing and Social Memberships this season with our new Point of Sale. Some key changes are that we have consolidated to one annual membership that will have many more features, like Member Charging, an online booking engine for Members and 10% off in the restaurant. A couple of new things that we have added is the ability for Non-Residents to become Members at an increased price and a Social Membership that will have some unique perks. The Social Membership targets the occasional golfer who frequents the restaurant or other facilities and will include Member Charging privileges, 10% off in the restaurant, discounted rates for Club Events, discounted range balls and two discounted green fees per month. Be on the lookout for our marketing materials with all the details and make sure to purchase your memberships prior to November 1st to get the best price. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. I spoke a little about the new Point of Sale already and we are doing our best to get it installed as soon as possible. Inevitably COVID-19 has affected the deliverance of hardware among other things. We are very excited to get this system installed as the new tools will help the operation in many ways. We currently have a different system in the golf shop than we do in the restaurant and they do not talk to each other, so it creates a longer checklist at the end of month when we are reconciling. The new system will also help us collect and analyze data on the tee sheet, allow us to operate on one system in all locations, provide us better reporting as a whole, enhance the efficiency of monthly financials, enhance our operations with events and gives us the ability to have Member Charging anywhere on property, just to name a few. The Player Development Program will continue in September! We are extremely happy with how SEPTEMBER 3 |
