20 percent.  This is a reflection of what occurred nationwide, as the total number of registered aircraft 
in the United States decreased by approximately 10 percent during this time.   

The current number of registered aircraft in Tarrant County is similar to what was experienced in the 
mid‐to‐late 1990s.  Nonetheless, the historical trend shows that the number of registered aircraft has 
increased in the past and these increases have typically coincided with periods of sustained economic 
growth nationally.   

Since the number of registered aircraft in Tarrant County has declined annually since 2011, various re‐
gression and time‐series analyses did not result in a reliable forecast.  Therefore, several market share 
and historical growth forecasts of registered aircraft for Tarrant County have been developed and are 
presented in Table 2E.
