Aircraft Hangar Facilities
Hangar facilities at Arlington Municipal Airport are comprised of conventional hangars, executive
hangars, T‐hangars, and linear box hangars. Conventional hangars provide a large open space, free
from roof support structures, and have the capability to store several aircraft simultaneously. Conven‐
tional hangars are often utilized by airport businesses, such as FBOs and large SASOs. Conventional
hangars are typically 10,000 square feet or larger.
Executive hangars provide the same type of aircraft storage as conventional hangars, but are typically
smaller than 10,000 square feet. These hangars are normally utilized by individual owners to store air‐
craft or by smaller airport businesses.
T‐hangars and linear box hangars provide for separate aircraft storage facilities within a larger hangar
complex. These hangars typically provide space for only one aircraft and are used for private storage
only.

of hangar, maintenance, and office
space. Conventional hangar space
at the Airport totals approximately 330,000 square feet in 11 separate hangars. There are two sepa‐
rate executive hangar facilities totaling approximately 18,400 square feet. Finally, eight separate T‐
hangar facilities totaling approximately 168,300 square feet and four linear box hangars that provide
approximately 78,900 square feet of space are located on the Airport. There are 170 separate storage
units within these T‐hangars and linear box hangars.
Aircraft Parking Aprons
There are several designated aircraft parking apron areas at Arlington Municipal Airport. The parking
apron adjacent to the airport terminal building contains 12 marked tiedowns for smaller general avia‐
tion aircraft and encompasses approximately 4,200 square yards of space. Farther west and adjacent
to Taxiway A, a 9,700‐square‐yard apron offers 41 marked tiedown spaces available only for small gen‐
eral aviation aircraft.
There are other designated aircraft parking apron areas for general aviation activities at Arlington Mu‐
nicipal Airport. Approximately 11,000 square yards of apron are provided adjacent to the Airport’s
FBO located south of the terminal area. Within this area, there are 16 designated parking positions for
large and small aircraft. Farther south in an area adjacent to T‐hangar facilities, there are approximate‐
ly 20 marked aircraft positions encompassing 2,300 square yards.
