AIRSIDE CONSIDERATIONS
• Evaluate improvements necessary for Runway 16-34 to meet Runway Design Code (RDC)
C-III design standards.
• Examine potential extensions on Runway 16-34 to meet aircraft operational requirements.
• Consider a pavement design strength of 150,000 pounds dual wheel loading (DWL) on Runway 16-34.
• Analyze the width of certain taxiways to meet proper Taxiway Design Group (TDG) standards.
• Locate runway/taxiway hold lines per FAA standards.
• Evaluate the taxiway system in meeting airfield safety and geometry standards.
• Consider implementing light emitting diode (LED) lighting on the runway and taxiway system.
• Identify land acquisition needed to accommodate safety areas associated with existing/ultimate
conditions on Runway 16-34.
LANDSIDE CONSIDERATIONS
• Identify locations for additional hangar development to meet projected demand.
• Analyze redevelopment options to maximize airport property to meet projected demand and
for revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Research areas for additional aircraft parking apron space to meet the demands of peak period
activity on the airfield.
• Evaluate options to better segregate fixed wing aircraft and helicopter operations.
• Determine efficient land uses that allow the airport to meet aviation and non-aviation demand.
• Examine options for additional vehicle parking access while best segregating aircraft and vehicle
traffic on airport movement areas.
• Identify potential revenue support parcels to include both airfield access and
non-airfield access areas.
