Given the aircraft parking demand during special event activities associated with AT&T Stadium, this is
a high‐priority project for the Airport.
Funding Eligibility: FAA/TxDOT – 90 percent / Local – 10 percent.
Project #2: Realign Taxiway H at Intersection of Runway 16‐34
Description: Realign Taxiway H at a 90‐degree angle to Runway 16‐34, adhering to updated airfield de‐
sign and geometry standards. The taxiway will be constructed to 100 feet in width and require the re‐
configuration of associated taxiway lighting and signage. The hold line associated with Taxiway H
would need to be situated at least 257 feet from the runway centerline.

Project #3: Reconstruct South Aircraft Parking Apron
Description: Reconstruct the parking apron in the southeast area of the airfield based upon the find‐
ings of a recent pavement evaluation conducted at the Airport. This apron currently encompasses ap‐
proximately 23,300 square yards of space and 48 marked tiedown positions. For purposes of this
study, only the portion of the parking apron not included in an existing private leasehold is considered
for reconstruction.

Project #4: Rehabilitate Portions of Runway 16‐34 (General Pavement Maintenance)
Description: Rehabilitate certain portions of the runway that need addressed in the near term to allow
for continued use prior to a full reconstruction of the runway system planned later in the CIP.

Project #5: Implement Drainage Improvements on South Side of Airport
Description: Improve drainage on the south side of the Airport adjacent to Southeast Green Oaks
Boulevard that includes added erosion prevention and installation of larger subsurface piping.

Project #6: Construct Perimeter Access Roads on North, South, and West Sides of Airport
Description: Construct/reconstruct paved perimeter access roads in three different locations on air‐
port property. The north area would entail constructing a road around the north side of the localizer,
connecting with Taxiways A and G. The south area would entail constructing a road adjacent to South
Collins Street and traversing south and west adjacent to Southeast Green Oaks Boulevard, meeting up
with the existing access road leading to the airport traffic control tower (ATCT). The west area would
entail constructing a road extending west from Taxiway G adjacent to the Bell Helicopter leasehold and
extending around to the ATCT. The extension of these roads will allow airport personnel the oppor‐
tunity to better monitor airfield operations and also decrease the number of times that internal vehicle
and maintenance operations will have to cross the runway system.
