hancements that may be appropriate. As shown in the table, the Arlington Municipal Airport’s ranking
on this scale is 42. Points are assessed for the Airport being located in a mass population area and near
sensitive areas, including military installations and major centers of government. Points are also as-
sessed for a based aircraft count of 254, some of which are over 12,500 pounds, and having a runway
greater than 5,001 feet in length made of concrete. The ATCT has historically reported well over
50,000 annual operations, and Title 14 CFR Part 135 charter operations, flight training operations, air-
craft rental, and maintenance on larger aircraft are all offered at the Airport, thus enhancing the need
for adequate security. It should be noted that the Airport occasionally falls within temporary flight re-
strictions (TFRs) associated with special events (i.e., Super Bowl) at the AT&T Stadium located a rela-
tively short distance north of the Airport.
