INTERNATIONAL Partnership
In February 2019, members from the Arlington Fire Department were invited by ESS International “Team Fenix,”
to assist and provide training to areas in Mexico. The symposium offered topics to enhance professional rescuer
skills such as modern fire dynamics, emergency medical services, and fire service equipment and capabilities.
On May 5, 2019, Public Safety officials and diplomats from the states of Guanajuato, Jalisco, and Michoacán,
Mexico visited the City of Arlington. They were educated on Arlington’s Emergency Operations Center, as
well as Entertainment venues to observe the inner workings of our Public Safety/Emergency operations and
partnerships.
In September of 2019, firefighters from Arlington visited the City of San Miguel el Alto, Jalisco, Mexico to deliver
donated equipment to the Civil Protection and Fire Department. The equipment will provide the department
with more work tools in which to provide a better service to their community. Along with the equipment, AFD
members provided valuable training to area departments.
