Public Information Officer The Public Information Officer (PIO), a Lieutenant, is tasked with providing the citizens and media with information regarding life safety issues, community activities, and emergency incidents. Public information and communication are accomplished through a variety of methods including social media accounts, community events, and local print and digital media. When nature calls, afd is here to help! INSTRUCTIONS ▸Place Vial of Life magnet on the outside of your refrigerator. Emergency Medical Personnel in the community have been notified to look for your special Vial of Life magnet. ▸Complete the medical record form with the assistance of your doctor or family member. ▸Ask your pharmacist to add any new prescriptions to your medical record form. ▸Roll up completed form, include your Living Will or Advanced Medical Directive, and place in the Vial of Life. ▸Place the Vial of Life on the inside of your refrigerator door. 35
