writer was very kind and good man. He said that though he couldn’t see
he saw farther as all the blind men can see and feel deeper finding out
the inner world of a person and the kindness of his soul. Avetis told that
because of the hard circumstances his wife and her family had to leave
Armenia in 90’s and settled in US. Avetis tried to be with her wife but he
was denied in getting visa. He had to stay in Armenia, besides he
wanted so much to stay in Armenia as he was one of the active
members of the Nagorno-Karabakh Liberation. The writer found out
also that Avetis knew him as he was friend of his father, when they both
were taking part in the battles of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh)
Liberation War when Armenians were protecting their native land form
the Azeri aggression. Avetis told that he was wounded during that war
and hospitalized. As a result, he lost his eyesight. Avetis told the writer
that though his wife had asked him to be late he is in a hurry... At first
the young man did not understand the true meaning of that. He started
to work on the book after receiving Narine's poems from Aram, who had
collected them for the book. After a month of work the writer called
Aram to meet and to give the blue print of the book for Avetis. When
they met and the writer said that he has finished the work, Aram told
him that his Dad was dead. The writer was astonished and surprised
and deeply excited from that news and he asked why he hadn't been
told about that. Aram gave him his father's last wish - a letter for the
writer. He opened the package and found there a letter. Avetis wrote
that it was his wish not to tell about his deadly illness to him because it
would prevent him from working on the book. He would start to pity him
for his illness. Avetis found also the money in the package. He gave the
money and the book to Aram, asked the place of his father's grave,
went to the cemetery, found the grave and put there a poem, titled "Be
late...". The writer stood for a long time near the grave, thinking and
trying to see the image of Avetis in the sky, trying to see farther.
