Dear Arlington Ridge,
As we continue to improve the golf course, irrigation has been priority number 1! If we do not have
water, then we will not have turf. We have had issues with holes 1 and 2 not running the full cycles
at night, but that problem should be resolved now. We continue to configure the electrical boxes
around the course to our liking and hope to address the issues before they arise.
As with all new equipment, there is an adjustment period. We now have the spray dialed in and
running well. This will allow the team to be more efficient in applying pre-emergent to the turf and
should be done shortly.
The team has been working hard trimming the landscaping around tees and greens and we expect
to be finished with the course by the end of the month. We are also working on the 150yd barber
poles. We are making them in house to save a bit of money and should start to see replacements
soon. They’ll be smaller and a little shorter. In addition to the barber poles, we will be adding other
course accessories to help with traffic control. Keep an eye out for new flags and flagsticks as well!
The prism for your range finders will be just below the flag in the flagstick. Lastly, we just received
needle tines and tested our machine on the putting green. We will start letting the greens breathe
next week.
Sincerely,
Shane Rice
