T
he Santa Cruz County Fair and Rodeo Association is proud
to announce the running of The 100th Annual Sonoita Horse
races. Gates open at 10 AM and Post Time is 1 PM.
T-Bone Steak House,
located on the side of
South Mountain, was
once a private residence.
Constructed in the 1920s
out of river rock and
adobe, the building was
turned into a restaurant
in the 1940s, catering to local
ranchers and farmers. In 1972,
it was officially named T-Bone
Steak House and it has been a
local favorite ever since.
Deborah Copenhaver Fellows, chairman of the racing committee,
said that The Sonoita Horses Races, a time honored tradition,
would not be possible without the dedicated volunteer efforts and
the generous support of local businesses, ranchers, community
residents, racing aficionados, and corporate sponsorships. To find
