Volunteers are Needed
for Nation’s Largest Equestrian Triathlon July 24-27, 2014
L
ast summer The Event
at Rebecca Farm set
new records for its
annual equestrian triathlon.
By adjusting the schedule,
organizers were able to
maximize capacity and
accommodate all competitors
who wanted to enter. 560
equestrians competed in the
Horse Trials and 45 young and future
event horses were also featured.
“It’s only because of the incredible
volunteer base that we are able to run an
event of this scale,” said Sarah Broussard,
organizer. “Hundreds of volunteers are
needed to run an event of this caliber and
we hope to see some new faces for this fun
and rewarding experience.”
The thirteenth annual Event at Rebecca
Farm springs into action July 24-27, 2014,
featuring competition in dressage, crosscountry, and show jumping. Prior to The
Event on July 23, the USEA Young and
Future Event Horse Series will be featured
and volunteers are needed for this as well.
During the four days of competition,
thousands of spectators come to
see some of the finest
riders in the nation, as
well as promising young
competitors who test
their skills and courage in
Rebecca Farm’s first class
arenas and on the vast crosscountry course. Admission
is free, with full concessions
and trade fair all four days.
Volunteers can work as scribes, jump
judges, traffic and crowd control, or
even paint jumps. Lunch, t-shirts and
the opportunity to be close to the action
are some of the benefits to this fun
opportunity. To sign up as a volunteer,
please use the online form at
