centers constructed by Homes in the ‘50s
and ‘60s, West Plaza was anchored by an
A.J. Bayless grocery store. Homes & Son
even built the Valley National Bank
building at the shopping center.
Homes & Son was also a major player
in the restaurant construction scene in the
1960s and ‘70s. The iconic riverboat
restaurant Copper Belle at Camelback
Road and 16th Avenue was one of their
