Aries: If you weren’t dancing what would you be doing? Daniel: If I wasn’t dancing I would be teaching or acting. I love to teach dance so that’s easy. I used to act a lot but focusing on dance all the time, so it was put to the back burner. Aries: Where do you see yourself in ten years? Daniel: You know year ago my answer would have been a successful dancer, toured with Britney,and now opening up my own studio, But with Natalie and other huge recent changes in my life I don’t know, there’s so many different possibilities. America’s Next Drag Superstar? Back up/ choreographing for Britney or a big girl group? Acting on All My Children? Or teaching in my own performing arts high school and happily married? All sound perfectly amazing and I’m happy for wherever my life takes me. But I’m also excited for the ride and the surprise. :) Aries: If you had a chance to choreograph for any celebrity who would it be and why? Daniel: Britney Spears! Well she’s the reason I really started dancing. I saw the boy dancing behind her in the “Baby one More Time” video, and said, “That’s exactly what I’m going to do!”
Aries: How did the idea of Natalie Wynters come about? Daniel: Well, I was at my, now, drag mom’s house and she dressed me up just for fun! For one, I felt beautiful and two I felt free! Like I could be anyone I wanted to be! A whole new person! Well it took six months to grow the confidence actually say “fuck everyone I’m fabulous” and just do it. Aries: Is she different than Daniel? Daniel: Yes and no. Daniel is already pretty diva. But Natalie brings it out 100%. Natalie has confidence to talk to anyone I mean anyone! She can go up to huge group of straight guys and say, “So is anyone going to offer me a drink?” Daniel would never. But at the same time she is more censored on what she’s saying and to who. I guess you just have to be around Both to truly understand. Aries: What’s the look you want Natalie to have? Daniel: Natalie doesn’t have a set look. She can be a chameleon and fit every role. But she definitely wants to be the Britney of drag. Aries: When performing on stage what goes through your mind? Daniel: When I’m performing my minds blank. It’s almost like it blurrs through. But my whole body gets tingly... It’s better than any other drug.
