Los Glaciares National Park

Los Glaciares National Park is a declared "World Herritage" according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). With being along side and part of the Andes Mountains, this national park contains a wide variety of ecological systems ranging from mountains and forests, to icebergs, ice caps, and lakes. On the southern end of the park, you can find the Perito Moreno, the most famous glacier in the park. Due to it's drastically dynamic changes, it produces cyclic phemomenon of forward and backward movement. This can lead to some truely astonishing ice falls from the front walls. On the Northern end of the park however, you can find an extremely different picture. Granite peaks, lakes, woods and glaciers all come together to create a truly amazing view of diversity. The highest mountain is Mt. Fitz Roy at 3405m high with a close second being Mt. Torre, standing tall at 3102 m.
