El Chaltén
Also known as “smoking mountain,” El Chaltén is among one of the many mountains in Patagonia. This is a very isolated location, which is one of the main characteristics of this mountain which corners the north of the Glaciers National Park. Here you can spend a day to admire nature. This contamination free place is full of wildlife to see. The different plants and trees along with the animals that inhabit the countryside are among many of the things to see at the smoking mountain. You may wonder why it is called this. El Chaltén was believed by the Tehuelches people to have been a volcano before it was a mountain, earning the name “smoking mountain.”
