As you could imagine, one thing that brings people together as a nation, and as a family, is food. A nation’s culture is greatly affected by the traditional cuisines of that country, and Argentina sure is one of those countries. There are several delicious meals that call Argentina home, from the depths of flavor in asado to the sweet decadence of dulce de leche, you will find only delicious food in Argentina.

One way to the heart of Argentina through its food would be through its asado, or barbecue. Also known as parrillada, this meat based dish is one that you must try when going to Argentina. Asado is a meat dish consisting of either a piece of beef, pork, or ribs and sweetbreads that are lightly salted and cooked to perfection in an open flame on a grill. This

meat is topped with chimichurri, a green salsa

made of chopped parsley, oregano, onion, garlic, chili pepper flakes, olive oil, and lemon,

and can be paired with Malbec, a fine Argentine wine. This dish is not one to pass up.
