Origin of Argentina!!

Argentina gets its name from the Spanish word 'argento'. Which translates to silver. Argentina is the second-largest country in South America, and eighth-largest country in the world. Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina. Spanish is the most common language of Argentina. Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner is the 55th and the current President of Argentina. Its national day is on May 25th.

Its heartland is a broad grassy plain known as the Pampas. Argentina gained independence in 1816. When children lose a baby tooth, they put it under their pillow at night and a mouse called "El Raton Perez" will take the tooth and leave coins behind. On New Years Argentinians flock to the streets to celebrate with neighbors. It has the second largest Jewish population in the Americas. Sixty percent of them own their homes and often build additional rooms rather than moving to a larger house. Mothers raise the children. Women working outside the home comprise less than thirty percent of the Argentine work force.

The earliest recorded human presence in the area now known as Argentina is dated from the Paleolithic period. The Spanish colonization began in 1512. The population in 2010 was 40,177,096 and in 2013 it was 41,660,417. It slowly increases every year.
