1987 1989 The race went outside Gräfsåsen´s snowmobile stadium for the first time since 1973. More specific to the Östersund trot arena. Studs in the track was yet again allowed mostly to bring a little more speed to the competition. Despite that the competition went slower than usual. Hans Nordqvist and Nils-Anders Persson took first and second for Östersund´s SSK in the Junior class The Norwegian Björn Klöften was the leader of the Racing final for a long time. But after a spectacular crash at the start/finish straight his chances to be the first now-Swede to win disappeared. Instead Mats Öhman won despite that his hands was so cold that he couldn´t steer properly. 1988 1990 Back att Gräfsåsen´s snowmobile stadium and back to no studs in the track. But Mikael Nyström was equally fast with or without studs and took his second win in Aktiv Cup. Östersund´s SSK Nils Anders Persson won Junior class. Again very little snow made the track icy. Until now the Aktiv Cup had been arranged on sundays (except the year it was a two day competiton) but from now on the race was arranged on saturdays. Aktiv Cup 18 january Östersundstravet Racing 1.
