Bengan Westerlund has a long
and motley career in snowcross.
Many exciting projects has passed through his workshop. His
latest project is currently taking
a clean sweap in the Pro AM Woman class at the Amsoil snocross
championship.
Bengans Motor in the village of Ope is the archetype for Santa´s workshop for all of us who
likes Arctic Cat. The whole store is stuffed with
parts, apparels and accesories that fits to Arctic Cat enthusiasts whether they drive oldies
or new machines. But how come that Bengan
became the Catmaster?
I have always been curious in how it all
started.
- To take it all from the beginning, it all started at Henry Johansson back in -79. When I
worked with Henry I got in contact with snowmobiles seriously for the first time in my life.
-81 I started my own business at Rådhusgatan
in Östersund. I brought Suzuki motocross with
me from Henry. I also did a couple of jobs to
the snowmobile manufacturer Aktiv. They had
sold an amount of Aktiv Grizzly to India. They
would be used at 3000 meters altitude
