ORBIT cares about client satisfaction …
ORBIT ©( the Manufacturer) warrants to the Buyer( our client) the satisfactory operation of its products for the following warranty periods from Purchase( the invoice date):
• 2 years for conventional products( empty housings with conventional lamp holder GU10, GU5.3, G5.3, GX10, and others … but sold without light source);
• 3 years for the LED light source for devices with retrofit led lamps( OPTILED) and / or LED STRIPS
• 5 years for the LED light source for devices with integrated Chip On Board LED and / or LED MODULES / LINES
These warranty periods are based on a burn time of a maximum of 4,000 hours per year. In the case of more than 4,000 hours per year, the warranty period is adjusted on a pro-rata basis;
Devices sold without an integrated LED driver are not covered by our warranty, unless our client has received written approval from ORBIT that the non-standard LED driver supplied outside ORBIT is compatible with our integrated LED fixture( only for larger projects);
Besides the standard warranty periods, an‘ extended warranty’ or a‘ customized project warranty’ can be agreed after the specific operating conditions have been communicated; Within the warranty period any defects with ORBIT © products as a result of faulty materials or workmanship will be rectified free of charge. ORBIT © reserves the right to rectify the fault by repair, exchange or replacement. Intervention cost on site will not be covered, unless agreed and accepted by ORBIT © in writing.
In order to correctly honor its warranty obligations, an ORBIT representative has to be granted access to defective Products. If there is any doubt surrounding the Products or other components, the representative has the right to invite representatives from other manufacturers to assess the lighting systems;
The warranty does not cover and the Manufacturer will not be liable for:
• Damage on parts and materials subject to continuous wear;
• Damage resulting from outside use of the Manufacturer’ s products;
• Problems resulting from external causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, negligence, fire, theft, vandalism, riot, explosion, natural disaster, or other external causes unrelated to the product defect;
• Conditions demonstrating faulty installation, misapplication, extreme environmental conditions beyond those defined in the product specification, under / over voltage situations, lack of compliance with applicable instructions, improper or inadequate handling, maintenance, negligence, accident or tampering; FOR LED FIXTURES IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO TOUCH OR CLEAN THE LED ARRAY AND TO REMOVE ALL POSSIBLE INSULATION MATERIAL AND / OR PROVIDE SUFFICIENT VENTILATION SO THAT THE MAX Tc IS NOT SURPASSED.
• Incompatibility, improper design, operation or maintenance of products not supplied by the Manufacturer;
• Situations in which manufacturer’ s control gear and or any parts are replaced with those from other manufacturers;
• The quality of the installation of Manufacturer products by the installer of those products;
• Small defects having negligible effect in value or operation.
The warranty does not apply to any other claims( for instance additional cost incurred by the customer) unless agreed and accepted by ORBIT © in writing. All our lighting fixtures are manufactured in conformity with the European standard CEI-EN 60598 and consequently carry the CE logo. The CE logo represents an implicit quality assurance and can be found either on the product, the packaging or the instruction manuals. Copyright © 2017 by ORBIT © nv. All ORBIT © integrated led lighting fixtures( COB, LEDLINES, etc …) are supplied with integrated led light source and compatible driver, unless explicitly stated otherwise. All ORBIT © conventional lighting fixtures are supplied without lamps, unless stated otherwise. Lamp data are given as example. Colour renderings are indicative and can deviate from the real visual perception of the product colour. All lumen specs( IRC, CCT, wattages, beam angles) of the LED fixtures are indicative values and are based on the technical data provided by the COB LED manufacturers. The wattages mentioned do not take into account the power consumption of the control gear( driver).
